The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) oversees and directs Public Health Service (PHS) research integrity activities on behalf of the Secretary of Health and Human Services with the exception of the regulatory research integrity activities of the Food and Drug Administration. Resources available on the ORI's website include educational materials for individuals involved in research misconduct proceedings, forensic tools, and conference announcements.

The Office of Extramural Research (OER) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) provides information on the NIH's expectations and requirements of individuals involved in PHS-funded research in the Research Integrity Section of the Grants Policy page.

The OER also provides information on the definition of research misconduct, the requirements for a finding of research misconduct, and the process for handling research misconduct allegations involving PHS funding in the Research Misconduct Section of the Grants Policy page.
