Research Integrity
Introduction
from the Vice Chancellor for Research
As members of the Washington University community, we must maintain significant public support for our research mission. In order to do so, one of our most important responsibilities is to ensure the integrity of the research process and to ensure that research is conducted with the highest ethical standards. This responsibility is jointly held by everyone involved in the research process – faculty, students, and staff alike. As Vice Chancellor for Research, I am ultimately charged with protecting the integrity of our research mission. Accordingly, I encourage anyone who has questions or concerns regarding questionable research practices that may compromise these ethical standards, including those involving human or animal subjects, to contact me for a confidential discussion.
