The goal of the site's redesign is to better serve the needs of the WU research community via the implementation of three guiding principles:

  1. Image—The site should project a professional appearance and be designed with a current technological platform.
  2. Communication—Information should be accurate, comprehensive, and easy to find.
  3. Unity—Design, navigation, and content should be consistent among all OVCR groups.

Now, the site is a consolidated source of information related to research compliance, administration, and management. Features that improve the functionality of the new site include:

-  A competent search engine
-  Simple, easy, and intuitive navigation
-  Printer-friendly web pages
-  Enhanced access to current research news and events

The new site launched on June 30, 2008. Integration of other research related websites will occur gradually over the course of the next year.  Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions page for additional information regarding the launch and the Recommended Bookmarks page for the most frequently accessed content available on this site.

The website will also integrate with the new Research Gateway, planned for Fall 2008, which will provide Washington University faculty and staff with efficient, single sign-on access to the numerous research-related resources, tools, forms, and applications necessary to propose, manage, and close-out research projects and satisfy compliance requirements.

We encourage you to browse the redesigned site and submit comments and suggestions that will help us improve the functionality of this service.  Thanks for visiting and for helping us to create and improve the new research.wustl.edu!
