Subject: Update NIH Salary Cap

The NIH has increased the Salary Cap to $183,300 (Executive Level II). This new cap rate is effective January 11, 2015 and it applies to competing and non-competing awards.  Here’s the link to the full text: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-15-049.html.
Effective 2/1/15, the NIH salary cap edits in HRMS will be updated to apply the new $183,300 (Level II) rate for all DHHS Agencies (including ACF, AHRQ, AoA,ATDSDR, CDC, CMS, HRSA, HIS, NIH, NIS and SAMHSA).
Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) will be revising the NIH Salary Cap Policies and Procedures based upon this new rate.  That document will be available on the SPA website, http://www.spa.wustl.edu/policies.htm within the next two weeks.
