New OVCR Office and Website for Research Development

Published June 16, 2020

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research has recently established a Research Development Office (RDO). The RDO’s mission is to guide faculty in the pursuit for research funding, increase institutional competitiveness, and foster collaboration. The RDO will support faculty in the development of collaborative research center proposals and in forming cross-disciplinary teams. Services offered by the RDO include:

  • Assistance in finding funding opportunities
  • Proposal development support for large or complex proposals, including identifying collaborators, facilitating content development, and draft review
  • Host research networking groups around a specific topic
  • Manage limited submission funding opportunities

Nicole Moore, D.Sc. joined the university last Fall as the Senior Director for Research Development. Nicole brings vast experience from her time as the Director of Research Development at Northwestern University and as a Program Official at the National Cancer Institute. We are thrilled to have Nicole at WU and know that her deep expertise in research development will be a tremendous asset for faculty submitting large and complex proposals.

For additional information about the RDO and its services, please visit our new website or email Nicole directly at nmoore@wustl.edu.
