The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has increased the Salary Cap to $203,700 (Executive Level II). This new cap rate has an effective date of January 2, 2022, and it applies to competing and non-competing awards. Find the full text for this notice NOT-OD-22-076 here.
Effective February 11, 2022, Workday began applying the new $203,700 (Level II) rate. Here’s the link for the Salary Cap Calculator Worksheet with the new rate.
Effective March 8, 2022, the NIH salary cap edits in RMS will be updated to the $203,700 rate.
Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) will be revising the NIH Salary Cap Policies and Procedures, and that document will be posted to the SPA website later this week.
