Computing Basics: Basics of Submitting Jobs to the RIS Scientific Compute Platform

10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Research Infrastructure Services (RIS) and Becker Library are offering a series of Computing Basics workshops in September. These virtual workshops include live demonstration hands-on exercises designed for those without any prior experience using the Unix Command Line Interface (CLI), Docker container technology, and High Performance Computing (HPC).

This workshop will introduce basic commands for submitting jobs to the queue on RIS compute platform. Attendees will learn how to submit and run jobs/tasks using Docker and queuing system commands.

Register here. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the workshop.

Visit Becker’s Research Computing  and RIS’s News and Events for additional research computing workshop offerings.
