Dr. George Inglis is an Associate Editor at Communications Bio logy\, an open-access journal in the Nature Portfolio that considers r esearch articles\, reviews and commentary in all areas of the biological sc iences. In this session\, Dr. Inglis will demystify the life science publis hing landscape\, the role of an editor in the publication process\, and his own path to becoming an academic editor. George received his BS in Biology from Pennsylvania State University in 2014\, and PhD in Genetics and Molec ular Biology from Emory University in 2020. While at Emory\, he studied epi genomics\, mouse models of voltage-gated sodium channel dysfunction\, and i n vitro models of neuronal development. George joined Communications Bi ology as an Associate Editor in September 2020 and is based in the New York office.
Dr. George Inglis will speak in Whitaker Hall\, Room 21 8 and will present virtually. Registration is requi red to attend virtually.
