Updated Subrecipient Monitoring and Risk Assessment Policy

As we have announced previously, the Uniform Guidance (UG) requires a risk assessment to be completed on subrecipient entities prior to entering into a contractual agreement with them. The UG Subrecipient Task Force has worked hard to tackle the process and policy changes required to comply with the UG. The Subrecipient Monitoring Policy has been updated accordingly and the new policy may be found at: http://spa.wustl.edu/adminpol/Subrecipient%20Monitoring%20and%20Risk%20Assessment%20Policy_Final_04-15%20%282%29.pdf

Key changes in the policy include:

  • Summary of University’s risk assessment procedures
  • Summary of Roles and Responsibility related to subrecipient monitoring
  • Additional tools and examples
Additional information about the Uniform Guidance and Washington University’s implementation may be found here: https://research.wustl.edu/Resources/UniformGuidance/Pages/default.aspx
