The Community of Science (COS)
The University subscribes to the COS funding and expertise databases. Whether projects are in the sciences or the arts, COS helps support and advance research at Washington University. COS Funding Opportunities is the largest, most comprehensive global database of available funding, including grants, fellowships, prizes and more. The COS Expertise Database is a profile tool for collecting and managing professional information, promoting work, and finding collaborators. Grants.gov
All discretionary grants offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies can be found on Grants.gov.
Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS)
The IRIS Database currently contains over 9,000 active federal and private funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.
SBIR/STTR
The US Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Technology administers the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. Eleven federal departments participate in the SBIR program; five departments participate in the STTR program awarding $2billion to small high-tech businesses.
