The MR Facility is a research facility with a special emphasis on brain imaging containing 3 MRI systems that are dedicated 100% of the time to both human and animal research.

Core Description

MR Facilities of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology is a three-story, 66,000 sq ft facility with 3 MRI bays.  This facility was opened in 1994 to foster collaborative research among investigators at Washington University.  The primary mission of the MR Facility is to promote and support WUSM investigators and their collaborators doing fundamental and cutting-edge healthcare research at the university.


Service available to All entities, including for-profit organizations.

Priority service for Washington University only.
