WashU Office-based Research and Scholarship Return-to-campus Survey

Published June 22, 2020

Dear Washington University Faculty, staff, and trainees,

As you know, in response to the COVID 19 pandemic, University leadership has communicated when research and scholarship activities could be done remotely, they should be done remotely. For many scholars and researchers this has included office-based research and scholarship in the humanities, the social sciences, computational, math and other analytical fields, as well as managing off-campus research (e.g. research occurring in other countries).

We recognize that working remotely has challenges and benefits. Therefore, the OVCR has developed a brief survey to understand your experiences around your remote work environment, as well as any concerns and potential challenges during this time. The information will be used to guide our next steps in planning for returning to campus.

If you conduct office-based research or scholarship, I ask that you please complete this anonymous questionnaire so we can determine where we need to focus our attention.

To complete the survey please visit this link. The survey will be available now through June 29, 2020, and will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Please contact my Chief of Staff, Johnnie Cartwright (cartwrightj@wustl.edu) with questions or issues with the survey.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Lodge, PhD
Vice Chancellor for Research
