Dear Washington University Faculty, Staff and Trainees,
As you know, laboratory-based research activities on both campuses have been operating at the Yellow Level for the past six months. I am pleased to report that careful planning and strict adherence to our safety requirements has allowed laboratory research to be conducted at the Yellow Level with great success. Our peer institutions report that they have had the same success with continuing laboratory research. To ensure continued success, we must remain vigilant with adherence to our public safety measures – most importantly, universal masking, physical distancing and keeping our density low.
Looking ahead, we anticipate that the University will continue to operate at the Yellow Level through the next several months of the pandemic, assuming the COVID conditions on campus and in the community remain favorable.
As we settle into the Yellow Level for the foreseeable future, it is important that we are aware of any issues or problem areas that may have surfaced over the last several months. As such, the OVCR has developed a brief anonymous survey to obtain feedback on what is working well during this time and where improvements are needed.
If you are a laboratory researcher (faculty, staff, trainee), please complete this anonymous questionnaire so we can determine where to focus our attention. Please note, feedback or comments about the COVID vaccines and/or its distribution is outside the scope of this survey.
To complete the survey please visit this link. The survey will be available now through January 21, 2021 and will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please contact my Chief of Staff, Johnnie Cartwright (cartwrightj@wustl.edu) with questions or issues with the survey.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Lodge, PhD
Vice Chancellor for Research
