Grant Account Set Up Transition

Published April 24, 2019

The MyDay project is expected to transform many business processes throughout the University. Recently, the MyDay Project Team has recommended that the account set up process for grants should be performed by the post-award accounting office (e.g., Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA)). Accordingly, the positions within the Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS) responsible for account set up (i.e., “profiling”) will transition to SPA over the next several months. Within the last two weeks, the account set up for most of the direct NIH awards has moved over to SPA (primarily Emily Fels) as well as processing cost sharing allocation requests. Note: SPA has also been handling the set up for in-coming subawards for the last 18 months (Lindsay Danner).

SPA and OSRS are working through the details of this transition, and we expect this process to be completed by 10/1/19. Additional information will be shared via Research News and Research Administrator’s Forums.
