The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) has issued a new policy – the Research Data & Materials Policy. The intent of the new policy is to clarify requirements regarding retention, ownership and responsibility for research data generated during the course of university research. Additionally, the policy addresses data management and sharing practices and provides guidance on management of research data when a researcher leaves the university.
