NIH Salary Cap for Federal Fiscal Year 2019

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has increased the Salary Cap to $192,300 (Executive Level II). This new cap rate has an effective date of January 6, 2019, and it applies to competing and non-competing awards. For the full text visit NIH NOT-OD-19-099.

Effective 5/1/2019, the NIH salary cap edits in HRMS will be updated to apply the new $192,300 (Level II) rate.

Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) has revised the NIH Salary Cap Policies and Procedures. The revisions are noted in blue text. This document will also be available on the SPA website.
