The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has increased the Salary Cap to $199,300 (Executive Level II). This new cap rate has an effective date of January 3, 2021, and it applies to competing and non-competing awards. Find the full text for this notice NOT-OD-21-057 here.
Effective 2/3/2021, the NIH salary cap edits in HRMS will be updated to apply the new $199,300 (Level II) rate. Effective 2/8/21, the NIH salary cap edits in RMS will be updated to the $199,300 rate.
Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) will be revising the NIH Salary Cap Policies and Procedures and that document will be posted to the SPA website later this week.
