Research Recruitment using MyChart is one available method to recruit participants in Epic with appropriate IRB approval. It is very important to understand this tool and the audience it may impact. The Epic1 Research Team and Institute for Informatics designed and implemented a template that will help researchers with this recruitment tool. This template in Epic is a starting point that limits all participant to be included if they have been seen at a WashU School of Medicine clinic in the past year. There are also other filters available within the template to help guide you as you create the cohort for your research project.
