As of July 1, 2020, the Foundation for Barnes Jewish Hospital has been issuing Designated and Chair awards under a new cost reimbursable billing method. As a result, Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) is setting up a new WU fund under the new billing method and closing any existing funds that may have expired as of 6/30/2020. Prior to closing these funds SPA is contacting the department to confirm the closeout and return of any excess cash received to make sure you are aware we are closing the account. Any unspent funds returned to the Foundation are being placed back into the PI’s fund at FBJH and are available to request when needed.
Due to the large volume of Designated and Chair funds that expired on 6/30/2020, SPA may not have all of these funds fully closed by Sept. 30, 2020. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to SPA at spaprivategrants@wustl.edu to inquire on the status of your Designated or Chair fund closeout, and please reference the WU fund number.
