PASSPoRT: Connecting WashU Faculty with Postdoc Applicants

Published via Research News June 20, 2023

To all Washington University faculty,

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is hosting a postdoctoral recruitment event on October 12 & 13, 2023. The first annual Pathways to Advanced Scientific Skills through Postdoctoral Research Training (PASSPoRT) will offer interested faculty an opportunity to meet and speak with potential postdoctoral applicants interested in completing postdoctoral training in your area of expertise.

PASSPoRT is a virtual 2-day event open to advanced PhD students, recent PhD graduates, and early-stage postdocs who would like to explore postdoctoral opportunities at Washington University. The first day (October 12) will offer participants information on what it means to be a postdoctoral appointee at Washington University and how to get the most out of a postdoctoral experience. The second day (October 13) is reserved for informational conversations between prospective postdocs and participating faculty members looking to hire new talent.

All faculty members are invited to express their interest in meeting with prospective postdocs on October 13. If you are interested, please fill out this form no later than July 1, 2023, at 12 p.m. (CST). Please share this information with other faculty members in your department.

To learn more, consult the PASSPoRT instructions for faculty webpage.

If you have any questions about the event, please reach out to Dr. Peter Myers (petersmyers@wustl.edu), Program Manager of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.
