Clinical Science Research Core (CSRC)

The Clinical Science Research Core provides training and assistance in clinical research activities, including study design and performance, body composition analyses, indirect calorimetry, stable isotope tracer methods, and mathematical modeling of metabolic kinetics.

Clinical Translational Research Unit (CTRU)

The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is a unit within the Center for Applied Research Sciences (CARS) a Washington University in St. Louis (WU) Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) associated core.

Computer Support Group

The Computer Support Group provides IT support service to members of the Neuroimage Labs (NIL) and storage services to Radiology imaging departments.

Core Laboratory for Clinical Studies (CLCS)

Core Lab supports clinical and animal research by providing cost-effective laboratory testing for Washington University faculty and external investigators. In-house testing includes most common chemistry analytes in plasma or serum, a few analytes in urine, and complete blood counts with an automated differential in whole blood. We also perform manual testing for analytes with available ELISA or RIA kit as well as some testing with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) or single molecule counting (SMCxPro). We have agreements with outside labs for send-out research testing and can help research groups assemble and send kits for sample collection in their multi-site studies.

DCM Research Animal Diagnostic Laboratory

All services in this lab are available to WashU researchers only. No services are available to the general public. The DCM research animal diagnostic laboratory provides the following services in support of animal health and research: hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, parasitology, rodent viral serology, gross/histopathology, including both diagnostic and investigative histopathology.** The laboratory also facilitates […]

DCM Veterinary Surgical Services

These services are NOT available to the public. These services are only provided to researchers at WashU. The Veterinary Surgical Services supports researchers at Washington University and other non-University entities with pre-surgical, surgical and post-surgical services as well as non-surgical procedures for non-rodent species (dogs, pigs, rabbits, ferrets, cats, sheep, goats, etc.). These services are […]

Diabetes Models Phenotyping Core

The Animal Model Research Core provides breeding and colony maintenance of rodent models used for nutrition-related research (e.g., animals with lipid abnormalities, atherosclerosis, obesity and diabetes), genotyping, histological analyses, biochemical measurements (plasma lipids, glucose, and hormones) and body composition analyses.
